If your rechargeable Link™ EcoLite™ receiver fails the diagnostic test in the charging cradle please watch the video below to learn & understand possible test results.

Please place your receiver in the charging cradle and leave it there until our service department contacts you. This extended testing in the charging cradle will help to confirm the status of the receiver.

To change the correction level of your Link™ receiver, you will need to:

1. Open the "Pet Stop® Link™" app on your phone and connect to the desired receiver via Bluetooth.

2. Tap the settings gear in the upper right hand corner of the screen, then tap the "GentleSteps™" tab.

3. Tap the "+" button to go up 1 level, or the "-" button to go down 1 level. The receiver will respond by flashing to indicate this.

A: The number displayed on your transmitter in your garage indicates the width of the boundary of your fence produced by the strength of the radio signal. The signal extends to an equal distance on either side of the wire as well as the height above the wire.

The larger the number indicates the greater the distance from the wire the receiver will react.

To adjust this setting, you can simply press the top button on your transmitter to increase the size of the boundary and press the bottom button to decrease it.

To change your battery-powered or Ecolite™ receiver's correction level you will need to:

1. Remove the transmitter cover to access the small white "training" button on the upper right hand side of the circuit board.

2. Press and hold this button until the display flashes "98" and position your battery-powered or Ecolite™ receiver near the transmitter so that you get a steady red light on the receiver. 

3. Press the upper black button to go up one level, or the lower black button to go down one level. Be sure to count the number of flashes that indicate what level the receiver is now set to.

A: We can get a customer on our schedule for a Service call to help you in as little as 1-3 days through most of the year.

A: You can expect to receive a response from our team within 24 hours or less but more often it is within an hour or less. In addition to our standard business hours for calling, emailing, and texting (8am to 5pm, Monday – Friday), our team members are dedicated to monitor our service email and text number 7 days a week 365 days a year from 8am to 11pm.

A: We always encourage our customers to start with basic troubleshooting questions when they’re encountering containment issues.
If your dog is getting out of the yard, be sure to confirm the following things:
1. The transmitter is on and the there are no breaks in the boundary wire. (If there is a wire break the transmitter will beep and flash continuously when plugged in and turned on.)

2. Your dog’s receiver has a good battery and responds to the signal when held by the transmitter where the wires connect. You can also confirm this by holding the receiver by the collar strap at the height of your dog’s neck and approach the boundary you should hear the receiver begin beeping.

3. Check the boundary signal size displayed on your transmitter. This is the number that displays constantly when your are not interacting with it while programming the collar. It is usually set to read from 6 to 8.

4. If your dog’s receiver does not beep at the transmitter or when held very close to the ground near the boundary, you may need to replace the battery and repeat these troubleshooting steps.

5. If the receiver beeps when in the signal area, confirm that the collar is tight enough on your dog’s neck, so the receiver probes are making steady contact with their skin. 

When properly fitted to your dogs neck you should only be able to get your index finger under one of the probes. 
If your dog has an extremely thick coat you may need to trim some fur away from where the receiver will sit. 

We also recommend that you wiggle the collar back and forth to make sure the probes work through the fur to make contact with the skin. 

6. Finally, confirm what GentleSteps™ correction level for the receiver is on. Due to the fact that GentleSteps™ is a progressive & incremental training method, the level may not be high enough for your dog to respect. 

Your dog may have become used to the correction level you stopped at during training when your dog began responding very well and obeying the boundary. This is quite common and the simple solution is to increase the correction level one step higher and put your dog back on a leash and introduce them to the boundary at the new higher level. See video below.

This is part of what we explain during the initial training: repeating encounters with the boundary, allowing your dog to get used to the boundary, and observing how they react as you gradually increase the correction-level.

A: Batteries can be purchased at any time through our parts store, by clicking the button below.

A: To change the battery in your battery-powered receiver (PCC-200 Pro), use a flat-head screwdriver or a coin to unscrew the silver battery cap. Turn the cap until it gently releases, and remove the dead battery and discard right away so you don't get it mixed up with the new battery.

When you install the new battery, make sure you insert it so the end that is completely silver is facing outward, then screw the battery cap back on, making sure that the rubber ring is correctly placed around the screw on the underside of the cap.

No red light should be on or flashing. You can then test the receiver by holding it, without touching the probes, near the 2 white wires connected to your transmitter and listening for the beeping alert that indicates proper operation and that the battery is good.

A: If you would like to fix a wire break yourself, we offer the option to purchase our wire repair kits on our parts store. Our kits are sold in packs that cover 10ft, 50ft, and 120ft.

A: The Pet Stop® Link™ mobile app makes accessing your Link™ receiver's various features and settings quick and easy, and as our customer, we want you to understand how your system works and help you to be able to operate it without difficulty.

Please note that in order to upgrade from an eXtreme dog fence receiver to Pet Stop you have to upgrade your transmitter as well.  eXtreme dog fence components are not compatible with Pet Stop® Brand components.

Completing the steps in this video will either resolve your Link™ receiver collar connection issue, or prove that it needs to be replaced under warranty.

If you are currently connected to a smart watch or other connected device, please disconnect from the device while establishing your initial connection to the Link™ receiver.

Once you have successfully connected to the Link™ receiver you can continue using other connected devices while connected to Link™.


Step 1
Place the Link™ receiver in the Diagnostic Charging Base to confirm it passes the 7 point test.

If there is no beeping sound from the Link™ receiver, this indicates a completely discharged battery and the test will end on a flashing red light.  

Please leave the Link™ receiver in the Diagnostic Charging Base for 15 minutes with the red light flashing.

After 15 minutes, remove the Link™ receiver from the Diagnostic Charging Base for 5 seconds, and then re-insert it to begin another test.


If this test ends with a flashing red light, your Link™ receiver needs to be left in the Diagnostic Charging Base for 4-5 hours to revive the battery. 

When you hear the Link™ receiver beeping and it passes the test with a flashing green light, please proceed with the next steps.


Step 2
Open your Link™ app on your smartphone and tap the "Pets" symbol in the lower left corner.

If there are any collars listed you are going to delete them by doing the following steps.

Select a collar, when the connecting window opens, press the cancel button.  If you get a PIN error message, tap OK.

You should be on the remote trainer screen. Please press the gear symbol in the upper right corner next to the blue connect collar button.

Press forget collar next to the red trash can toward the bottom of the app screen.

Press yes to confirm forgetting the collar.

Forget all collars you have listed until the list is empty.


Step 3
From your mobile device please completely uninstall the Link™ app. Power off your phone and then power back on after 30 seconds. This is the only way to do a hard reset of the app.


Step 4
Please go to the app store or play store and re-install the most current version of the Pet Stop® Link™ app on your phone.


Step 5
Open your Link™ app and tap the "Pets" symbol on the lower left corner of your screen to open the add collar screen.

Please note you will have 60 seconds after removing the Link™ receiver collar from the charging cradle to scan for and connect to a Link™ collar without being required to enter the PIN number.


Step 6
Please remove your Link™ receiver from the charging cradle if you received positive test results with a flashing green light.

Press the add collar button on your app screen.

You should see your Link™ receiver appear with the serial number listed.

Please note the last four digits of the serial number.  This will be the number that you will assign for the PIN in the next step.

Select the collar and it should connect without requiring a PIN number.


Step 7
Press the gear symbol in the upper right corner next to the red disconnect button.

Next, press the PIN tab and you should now be able to enter the last four digits of the serial number to assign as the new PIN number.

This process ensures your phone will remember the PIN so you will not have to enter it again when connecting in the future.

These steps must be done on all devices that will connect to this collar and each additional collar.


Step 8
Press the back arrow at the top of the app screen until you are at the remote trainer screen.

Press the nightlight button to verify the light begins to flash. Press the warn button to verify the remote trainer works.

Press the red disconnect button wait 10 seconds, then press connect collar to verify connection without being prompted to enter the PIN number.

If you are not able to complete these steps with success please contact us as soon as possible for further assistance.

Diagnostic Test Results - How to interpret them.
